We had been told us about a series 2A land rover ute that was sitting in the dump, on a farm 4 hours west of Sydney. The owner of the property told us that it had been parked in the dump 20 years ago after it broke down and he was going to send it for scrap if we didn't want it.
We decided it was worth the road trip so we hitched on the car trailer and headed West. It was sitting down the bottom on a hill in a valley amongst abandoned farm machinery and it looked like it had been well used as a farm car and for target practice.
Not sure what the plan is yet, probably just get it going then figure out what needs doing, but there is no hurry.
